IT Field Engineer


The role

We have an opportunity for an experienced IT Field Engineer to be a part of Transdev Australasia group business to work within the centralised IT team to maintain, install and configure network, computer and telecommunication systems; diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems.  

Based in our Pyrmont office and reporting to the IT Service Desk Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of all IT-related issues and matters to help our Transdev businesses operate at optimum capacity, all with a customer service and result oriented approach.

We have successfully achieved some great heights this year and also have exciting plans to implementing a great number of initiatives including our digital roadmap, Windows 10 upgrade, refresh of our phone and laptop fleets, therefore, bringing new challenges and other potential opportunities for career growth as well.

Our IT Field Engineer team is dynamic, consists of people from different backgrounds. We foster collaboration, safety and work hard to make our frontline staff members’ and ultimately our customers work-life an effective and rewarding journey.

What you bring        

Essentially, you are a result-driven, proactive and broad IT generalist who has demonstrated over 5 years’ experience in similar complex company structures.

To thrill in this role, you must also

  • Have strong knowledge of and practical experience working with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, desktop support, TCP/IP networking, Server/Networking hardware and software
  • Communicate well with stakeholders at all levels and can get your point across clearly and concisely.
  • Understand the importance of being proactive, getting the job done in a timely fashion and knowing when to help or ask for help
  • Your application will be given prioritised consideration if you have ITIL certifications and relevant IT degree.

Our IT Field Engineer team is fierce, able to work under pressure and juggle between multiple projects effectively. They are also eager to exchange knowledge and learn from each other and know how to make work enjoyable
