HSEQ Advisor


The role

Thriving on your passion to embrace and tackle challenges, you will support the day-to-day improvement in the safety culture, safety performance, quality and environmental aspects across the business. As a direct report to the HSEQ Manager, this role will allow you to get involved in key compliance, auditing and management activities to improve the health and safety of our people, passengers and public. This opportunity will include a large variety of tasks where no single day is the same.

What you can expect in this role:

  • Support the delivery of risk, safety and compliance improvement projects
  • Undertake incident, risk and insurance management initiatives/investigations
  • Drive a safety first workplace culture through consultation and communication
  • Prepare HSEQ reports and documentation for various stakeholders
  • Provide HSEQ training, mentoring and advice across all business functions
  • Partner with leaders, workplace champions and stakeholders to improve the businesses safety maturity

What we’re looking for:

  • Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in a safety, environmental or risk management related discipline
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards
  • Relevant certifications in auditing, compliance and OHS practices
  • A passion for being proactive and taking initiative to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Proven track record developing and implementing HSEQ activities within fast paced industries
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including consultation, facilitation and negotiation skills
