HR Officer

Transdev WA is seeking a motivated, autonomous and passionate HR Officer to join our People and Culture Team on a permanent, full time basis.

This position will join a newly created structure which requires self-sufficient team members to provide Human Resources support to the business. The successful applicant will join an energetic and supportive team that values high performance.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager WA, you will provide HR support to the HR team and wider company stakeholders at all levels. Your responsibilities will be generalist in nature, however your core focus will be to support key HR functions including but not limited to HR administration, recruitment assistance, on-boarding, assisting with training requirements, HR project assistance and ad-hoc support to the HR Business Partner and People and Culture Manager.

The successful applicant will join a small team of Senior HR Professionals that will seek to coach and improve your skillset in generalist Human Resources.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the HR Business Partner and People and Culture Manager with all HR related project and transactional work
  • Coordination and assistance of award winning diversity, inclusion and engagement initiatives
  • Coordination of blue collar, volume recruitment of predominately bus drivers through our assessment centres, utilising shared service recruitment support from head office
  • Coordinate, advise and assist the recruitment process for other ad-hoc roles, liaising with line management and external agencies; Leveraging off shared services recruitment support from head office
  • Management of the employee on boarding process
  • Management of all associated HR Administration
  • Preparation of employment related documentation including but not limited to; letters of offer, position descriptions and corporate templates, contractual letters, written warnings and terminations
  • HR Data entry including processing data into multiple internal systems
  • Submission of HR reporting and feedback
  • Contribute to continual development of HR processes, procedures and projects
  • Assist the senior HR team members with day to day advice and dispute management in line with our enterprise agreement and company policies and procedures
  • Undertake research and investigations under supervision
  • Assisting Managers and Supervisors with Performance Management procedures and ensuring consistent best practice HR processes are followed

Required skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources will be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Demonstrated previous experience in Human Resources
  • PageUp experience will be highly regarded but not essential
  • Able to provide accurate HR administrative support whilst adhering to set processes and deadlines
  • Ability to interpret HR policies and procedures, industrial instruments, and legislation
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to occasionally travel to other depots within the Perth area
