We are looking for a Front-End Developer with solid full-stack skills who is a self-motivated, hands-on expert with a passion for keeping abreast of new technologies. As well as being a keen student of recent developments within your field, you should also be keen to pair with and coach other team members on front-end development techniques and best-practices.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain new and existing applications using React, Angular and vanilla JS
  • Drive the implementation of a new Component Library, and facilitate the creation of truly reusable React components across both web and native platforms
  • Review code, merge pull requests, and lead code review sessions
  • Maintain and promote excellent code standards
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, and provide insightful recommendations on remediation strategies
  • Develop unit tests and undertake UAT testing
  • Uplift front-end capabilities of all members of the team
  • Communicate technical topics clearly to the team and wider business
  • Work as a part of a cross-functional team and participate in the continual improvement of systems, tools and technologies

Your passion to achieve the best outcomes on each of our web apps’ front-ends, along with your active engagement with your team members and the broader reecetech community, will be your success in this role. What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a front-end developer (5+ years)
  • High level of expertise crafting responsive, performant web UI’s with HTML/CSS
  • Highly proficient in modern JavaScript (ES6)
  • Strong development experience with React and its ecosystem (redux, react-router, jest, etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern JS build pipeline tooling (webpack, babel, etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern Component Library tooling (Storybook, Styleguidist, AtlasKit, etc.)
  • Experience with Java/Node beneficial
  • Advocate of agile principles and values
  • Experience with TDD
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles
  • The ability to coach and mentor other team members with different skillsets
  • The ability to communicate at a technical and non-technical level
