Senior NBN Sales Specialist


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior NBN Sales Specialist to join the team at Telstra. The primary focus of your role is to propose and sell complex, value solutions via strategic customer relationships owned by Senior Account Representatives/ Consulting Account Representatives

As an integral part of the NBN Sales team, you'll be responsible for supporting the Sales Manager of Emerging Solutions in driving the execution of sales plans and the overall NBN Business sales strategy for your channels.

On any given day you could be working with one of your small business channels, helping them to achieve and surpass sales targets by setting standards to drive the behaviours, to working with Channel Managers to create a Regional Sales Plans and identifying areas of best opportunity and gaps to increase performance

Key accountabilities include:

  • Ensure the Small Business sales targets are achieved or surpassed for your channel
  • Work with local channel managers and National Channel team to actively drive regional and local sales to achieve high penetration and growth of the strategic product and solutions sets across Emerging Solutions
  • Establish and maintain a detailed understanding of the Partner Channels
  • Regularly report on sales performance at regional, local and Partner levels
  • Planning and strategy
  • Work with Channel Managers to create a Regional Sales Plan including:
    • Effective coverage, updates and visitation plan encompassing partners regular coverage across region
    • Profiling of all partners within region and capabilities
    • Identify areas of best opportunity & gaps to performance
    • Managing and assisting in execution of successful NBN migration in Disconnection SAM’s (Servicing Area Modules) as geographic NBN areas become available 
  • Work with B+E Channel Managers and relevant stakeholders to set goals and objectives specific to the local Partners:
    • Identify all NBN Small Business customers in Disconnection SAM’s with local stakeholders that maybe managed by B+E partner
    • Manage day to day operations to ensure successful NBN transformation of customers
  • Ensure that local, regional and national sales and marketing strategies are successfully implemented
  • Engage as appropriate and necessary with all areas of Telstra to ensure success of the role and achievement of all key metrics / targets
  • Ensure that Sales targets for the designated region are achieved or surpassed through
    • Analyse sales behaviours and setting standards to drive the behaviours of the sales team\Analyse data within the Small Business segments to identify sales & revenue growth opportunities

  • Provide stakeholder input to ensure internal suppliers meet commitments

What you will bring:

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Management of external partner channels
  • Previous NBN experience desirable
  • Proven sales history with a solid performance record
  • Strong ability to influence, persuade and engage with stakeholders
  • Strong sales drive and the ability to motivate sales people
  • Skill in interpreting sales data and identifying gaps and trends
  • Experience in implementing sales strategies and plans
  • Experience influencing virtual and/or indirect teams
