Telstra Enterprise is a growth engine for Telstra and is focused on providing global business customers of all sizes with industry based services and solutions. The Global Products transformation was initiated by the Telstra Enterprise Leadership team to set us up for success in the increasingly complex and competitive world of B2B ICT. One of the key initiatives to date is the introduction of a new model for all Global Product Development called the “Dojo”. It has radically redesigned our entire product development model (people, process, technology) to be more like a nimble software company, with a modular architecture, and lean & agile operations, accelerating time to market and reducing costs, and ultimately delivering highly desirable products to our B2B customers.
The Dojo operating model was launched in January 2016 with a pilot group of 3 projects, and is rapidly reaching scale, currently enabling >150 solutions plus managing a growing pipeline of ideas & initiatives.
We are now seeking a Dojo Business Operations Manager to join our small team, and manage the day to day operations of the Global Products Dojo, ensuring that it runs effectively at scale, and delivers the desired value to the Global Products organisation and our customers.
This role will utilise your skill in program management, governance, business operations, and continuous improvement, as well your experience with agile and new ways of working. Your time will be split across managing the Dojo Pipeline and program of work; reviewing and advising new initiatives on the most appropriate fit-for-purpose approach; running the Dojo Governance model including checkpoints with experts and senior management reviews; managing Dojo service providers and associated financials; and establishing streamlined management reporting on Dojo operations and performance.
So, what are we looking for? You will be a seasoned operations manager with prior hands on experience in running large programs, PMO’s or complex business operations in an agile environment who is familiar with the new ways of working including Agile, Lean Start-up and Human Centred Design. As an experienced professional you will have implemented change and business improvements in large organisations; as well as experience in streamlining and automating new or manual processes. Your ability to adapt to thrive within a dynamic and complex environment, strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills will also contribute to your success.
