We’re excited to announce that our Global Products team is on the lookout for a Senior Sales Specialist who can take up the Alliance Manager role within the Global Alliance line of Business.

This is a full time permanent role and we are looking for the Alliance Manager to start either at our Sydney or Melbourne office.

A little bit about the role

Reporting to the Head of Alliances the Alliance Manager will grow and develop the business relationship between Telstra, AWS and Dell Technologies across Cloud, Managed Security and Mobility across the Telstra Enterprise group of customers. This role will contributes towards an incredibly important part of Telstra’s strategy and you will be working with global leading organisations to build strategy, develop joint opportunities and assist in closing significant business with our customers.

This position will be the focal point for managing sales, revenue and NPS targets and you will be required to build an Alliance strategy and execute flawlessly, demonstrating Telstra’s position as a world class Alliance.

The Alliance Manager will be responsible for

  1. Building, maintaining and executing a strategic plan to develop the AWS and Dell relationships into $100m business’s within 3 years
  2. Deliver sales and revenue performance for the AWS and Dell portfolios as per annual targets
  3. Manage the sales pipeline and reporting for opportunity management
  4. Lead Telstra’s delegation at AWS and Dell global conferences as required
  5. Assist AWS and Dell to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers at Vantage, leveraging the combined value proposition of both Alliances
  6. Work with BTS to position professional services and consulting engagements via your Alliance
  7. Manage and prepare presentation material for Quarterly Business Updates with key stakeholders from both Telstra and your Alliance Partner.

In order to hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following

  • 10+ years in Telecom operator/ICT organisation with direct experience in products or sales,
  • 5+ years working within the channel industry with a good understanding of effective channel programmers for telecoms services
  • Previous Experience in holding an individual sales target and accountability to that target
  • Excellent literacy skills including the ability to write coherent, well-structured sales content to accompany customer quotes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with good understanding of business operations
  • Inspiring vision for GES Channel Growth
  • Take ownership of problems and situations that are less clear cut and overcome obstacles and roadblocks.
