The project

BxP is our Business Experience Platform. We’re building on our SAP systems to set ourselves up for the future. BxP is all about a single source of truth for our business data using SAP ERP. Over time, SAP will replace and streamline most of our business systems, so have one centralised data base, real-time information across departments and governance over data and processes.

About the role

  • In this role, you are the subject matter expert for the development of Sydney Water’s BxP project on supply chain, including warehouse management and inventory management processes, supplier management support and requisition to invoice payment processes. You will consult and work with supply chain teams to understand and seek agreement for impacts to related processes.
  • Partner with the Corporate Supply Chain and Procurement functions, ensuring the implementation of efficient and effective processes for the Corporation based on BxP initiatives.
  • Provide input and create efficiencies to the Corporation’s strategies, policies and processes for embedding a capability uplift in supply chain functionally
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the supply chain functions including supplier management support and requisition to invoice payment
  • Consult with supply chain to seek agreement for warehouse management and inventory management processes, including understanding impacts to related processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and finance functions across the wider organisation to ensure consistent understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the various reporting system and process.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to collate data requirements for Supply Chain, to gain insights into key drivers and opportunities across the supply chain.

About you

  • Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Supply Chain, Business, Finance) or experience deemed equivalent
  • Professional Procurement (e.g. MCIPS) and/or Supply Chain (e.g. APICS, MCILT) qualification
  • 3+ years’ Experience with SAP ERP systems, including source to contract, procure to pay, materials and inventory management and asset management
  • Experience in expediting inventory purchase orders to obtain current delivery dates, resolve blocked invoices / match exceptions, coordinate obsolete / alternate notifications and resolve stop supplies
  • Demonstrates an operational knowledge of inventory and warehouse management principles, tools and best practices
  • Analyses data to monitor performance and propose logistics improvements
