Your Role

As part of Stockland's Group Legal team you will have the opportunity to work across an interesting and diverse scope of work. Supporting the Senior Manager – Group Legal and working closely with the Commercial Property Leadership Team and the General Manager – Logistics and Business Parks, your responsibilities as a Senior Legal Counsel will include:

  • Providing legal advice regarding acquisitions and disposals of assets within the commercial portfolio
  • Assisting with day to day administration of legal issues relating to the operation of the office, logistics and business parks portfolio.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and management of all leasing arrangements with tenants
  • Assisting our Logistics and business parks business teams in negotiating commercially important outcomes
  • Managing disputes and contentious matters
  • Supervising junior lawyers and building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • About You

    To secure this role you will have a minimum of 5 years PQE legal experience with a property law background and have prior experience in management of complex property transactions. Ideally, you have exposure to retail, office or logistics and business parks industries.

    You are skilled at drafting complex documents and providing accurate legal advice. Your excellent communication skills alongside your commercial acumen and proactive approach will see you drive valuable insights that influence strategic decision making. Importantly you are authentic in your style and approach, you believe collaborating with key stakeholders and your peers is the way to achieve positive outcomes and in addition to this you are comfortable challenging assumptions.
