Senior Analyst – Communities, 12 month fixed term contract

We have an opportunity to join our Communities Finance Team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a highly engaged role where you will be responsible for delivering key financial information and insights, working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will need a strong blend of both technical and interpersonal skills to succeed in this role. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and effective communication materials and reports as required.
  • Support the completion of the review and consolidation of operating asset plans.
  • Support the preparation of reports to monitor key performance drivers.
  • Support the preparation of accurate management reports on behalf of Business Units/ Divisions.
  • Support the preparation of performance analysis versus developed budgets/plans/forecasts, identifying variances and potential influencing factors.
  • Supports benchmarking business performance internally; prepare internal benchmark information to specific needs to allow decision making.
  • Support the preparation and completion of development/ project valuations and impairments.
  • Assist with collating and generating insights of the overall financial performance/position of development projects.
  • Support the Project Performance Review process including consolidating & communicating results.
  • Assist with the preparation of scenarios and perform scenario analysis, to support decision making.
  • Support the preparation of finance components of the Business Unit’s/ State's strategy.
  • Ensure understanding and performance consistent with applicable internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements as well as internal escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate escalations as required between Stockland and Partner including preparing and maintaining an issues and risk register.
  • Support the building of strong working relationships with key stakeholders to solve issues, leverage opportunities and influence business performance.

  What are we looking for?

  • You will be an Accountant / Analyst looking to make your next move and hold a CA/CPA qualification
  • Experience in Residential and Retirement Living property finance functions would be highly regarded
  • You have strengths in Forecasting & Analysis and delivering commercial insights
  • You are experienced in working alongside both on and offshore teams
  • If you have experience in Business Partnering, this would be to your advantage, otherwise we are looking for strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to build strong partnerships
  • You are an autonomous self-starter who is solutions focused and has a high level of Commercial Awareness
