We have an opportunity for a Chef / Catering Supervisor at our Stockland The Willows Retirement Village based in Winston Hills, NSW.

This is a fixed term, parental leave cover till January 2020, full time hours Monday to Friday – No weekends!

As a Chef at our The Willows Retirement Village, you will be responsible for managing our kitchen, including staff and ensuring a balanced diet for the residents.

The role will include

  • Preparation of our resident's main meals
  • Baking of small sweets and cabinet style food
  • Preparation of meals for events and functions, overseeing the catering
  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety are maintained at all time in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Engaging and communicating with residents in a positive manner
  • Working closely with kitchen and care staff to ensure meals are served correctly, as well as performance standards are met

What you will bring to the role: 

You are a motivated, people oriented, team player with a passion for delivering meals that warm your customer’s hearts. Bringing with you prior experience as a cook/chef within a café, restaurant or hotel environment, you will be comfortable preparing a variety of food and have experience with short order cooking.

Additionally, you will have exceptional personal and food hygiene standards and a commitment to maintaining our A rating with the Health Authority. Furthermore, you will be able to effectively build and maintain strong working relationships with the team and residents alike, and be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. 

Applicants for this position must possess a Certificate I or II in Hospitality/Food Services.
