Asset Technology Specialist


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Technology Specialist to join Stockland’s Platform Services team, working within Stockland’s technology business unit and reporting into the Portfolio manager. 


This is a newly created position for someone to work closely with IT, Commercial Property and Communities stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, converting into strategically aligned and supportable technology solutions.


An enthusiastic and motivated individual is sought with a keen interest in operational technology (OT), IoT and Innovation & finding solutions to problems and converting business needs into technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage business stakeholders across various business units: Retail, Logistics, Workplace Residential & Retirement Living to identify opportunities for IT to uplift Stocklands technology platform to enable the business aspirations and strategy.
  • Find technology solutions to meet the needs of the business, working with IT vendors and IT operations teams to ensure a good fit and a robust customer support experience.
  • Assigning and tracking work packages and overseeing minor scope projects
  • Awareness of new IT and OT in Stocklands industry segments.
  • Produce design and business case presentation material, for review and approval from respective teams and stakeholders.

About you:

  • Stakeholder management: internal and external customers and partners
  • IT literacy with the ability to translate technical jargon into business language
  • Clear communication, interpretation and reasoning skills
  • Business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Translate requirements into design artefacts
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business
  • Two or more years’ experience delivering technology solutions including: 
    • Retail technology, such as Wayfinding, IoT, Digital Media, Sensors, Building management systems etc
    • Meraki Networking & Analytics
    • NBN, Cellular and other Modern internet technologies
    • Customer Wi-Fi and Analytics services – Providing business insights into our customer behaviour
    • ITIL service management and transition of new services into support (ITIL/ServiceNow)
