The Organisational Development (OD) and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) teams at Sparke Helmore are part of the broader HR team and play a pivotal role in driving strategies to develop, motivate and retain the best talent and to build an inclusive and diverse culture.

We currently have an opportunity for a part time (3 day) Organisational Development Advisor based in our Sydney office, reporting to the National OD and D&I Managers in a newly created role, initially for a 6 month contract. We are open to considering candidates looking for flexibility within those 3 days.

This role has responsibility for supporting the delivery of core OD and D&I programs across the firm, including the following:

  • Event coordination for OD and D&I activities including briefing and managing presenter requirements, identifying participants, drafting invitations, managing course materials/equipment/venues and recording training attendance in the LMS
  • Liaising with the OD Consultant to coordinate the internal Continuing Professional Development program from end to end, including sourcing suitable topics and presenters, ensuring appropriate quality of presentation material, managing logistical requirements, accurately recording and reporting CPD points and evaluating program outcomes.
  • Supporting the technology trainer to ensure the effective orientation of all new starters including management of materials, coordination of the mandatory program and reporting requirements. Facilitates the orientation program where required.
  • Supporting and coordinating the delivery of the firm’s D&I programs, working closely with National D&I Manager and D&I Advisory Committee to ensure successful delivery against the D&I strategy.
  • Managing the annual OD and D&I calendars to ensure effective scheduling and communication of programs.
  • Managing the effective use of the LMS or other HRIS, maintains accurate recording of learning activities and reports metrics in line with the OD scorecard.
  • Supporting the National D&I Manager to report on compliance for citations as required.
  • Supporting the coordination of other OD and D&I programs
  • Supporting effective communication between OD, D&I and the rest of HR to ensure successful delivery of the people and culture strategy.

Essential for this role are tertiary qualifications in HR, Psychology, Organisational Development or Training and Education together with 2 to 3 years’ experience in Learning & Development or Organisational Development. Experience in a professional services and or law firm environment is essential as is a proven interest in developing your career within the OD and D&I space.
