South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) is a vibrant and progressive community centre that provides a diverse range of community service programs and community engagement activities. Located at Eastlakes, Sydney, SECC is looking for a marketing expert to take on the role of Communications Manager – an autonomous role responsible for implementing varied and interesting marketing activities including:

  • media relations
  • stakeholder engagement
  • social media
  • copywriting
  • events
  • fundraising

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, you will be part of a talented and dynamic team that provides much needed services to the community in the areas of Aged & Disability, Family, Parenting and Children, Youth, Social and Recreational and Adult Education.

This role is ideal for a qualified marketing professional who is looking for a part time role that is flexible to work around school / day care hours.

The successful applicant will have:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in marketing
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the implementation of marketing plans
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
