Senior Relationship Credit Manager

About The Role
Role Location: 100 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000
Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
 
This role is within Institutional Banking’s specialist Healthcare team. The Healthcare business includes clients in sub-segments covering childcare, community care, retirement living, aged care, hospitals, diagnostic, pharmaceutical and allied health. 
 
The Senior Relationship Credit Manager role is primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the client's business model and capital structure.
 
Your key priorities and responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end relationship credit management process covering Origination Support, Transaction Structuring, Credit Writing, Risk Grading, Risk Analysis & Credit Approval, Documentation and Portfolio Monitoring (well managed).
  • Build an external and internal network to provide industry knowledge and insights and contribute to Industry Insights papers.
  • Represent ANZ at senior level customer engagements and where appropriate navigate appropriate negotiations to ensure sound commercial outcomes that balance the requirements of the Bank and its Customers.
  • Deep understanding of credit management processes and relevant dependant processes and product areas with a focus on continuous improvement and actively contribute to Institutional’ s credit process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong partnership with Risk, and have ability to manage holistic approach to Risk (credit, compliance, operational, legal and market risks as appropriate)
  • Leadership and development of the Assistant Managers, providing timely and appropriate mentoring and coaching. 
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Banking experience with strong relationship credit management, financial analysis and credit writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Judgemental Credit Policy and exposure to ANZ Risk management.
  • Strong client focus with the capability of leading due diligence activities, negotiations and senior level customer engagements
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with an ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with stakeholders at all levels
  • While experience in Health is not a prerequisite, curiosity regarding the Australian health landscape and global health trends will give you an edge.   
  • Growth mindset, highly commercial with a proven ability to balance risk and reward priorities
  • Self-directed, team player with demonstrated New Ways of Leading behaviours
