Senior Development Manager


We are currently seeking a commercially astute Senior Development Manager to join our Retirement Living team in Brisbane. Reporting to the General Manager - Retirement Living Development, the Senior Development Manager will have responsibility for ensuring a number of Retirement Living and Aged Care developments, for both Lendlease and for an external client, are delivered on budget, within program and the overall performance of the developments is achieved in accordance with the business plan.

Critical to your success in this role will be experience in leading and driving high performing, collaborative teams as well as an extensive experience in the management of the development programme and briefs, commercial reporting, obtaining approvals, sales and marketing activities, compliance within the sustainability framework and ensuring project EH&S plans are implemented and reviewed.

Significant experience in a Senior Development Manager role with full life cycle experience within apartments, retirement living or aged care developments would be preferable. A tertiary qualification in a property/construction/engineering/project management related field is essential.

As you will be responsible for managing and motivating multiple parties, project stakeholders and clients concurrently, you must demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence and negotiate. You will also have the capacity to develop and implement innovative solutions that are managed within cost and programme constraints. The successful candidate will be customer focused on all aspects of delivery and have a leadership style to mentor high performing teams.
