Senior Analyst - Employment Tax

An Employment Tax opportunity exists to sink your teeth into advising and making an impact on our clients M&A activities. In a growing team within our Tax business you’ll have ample room for career progression and will learn from leaders that are invested in your development.

Leveraging knowledge from our wider team in expatriate tax, immigration and equity & rewards you’ll become a subject matter expert and have an impact in our business.

About the Work

Working in an agile environment you’ll need to consider employment tax issues in evolving businesses. Benefiting from early client exposure and a close working relationship with our Managers and Partners, you’ll be involved in client meetings and a variety of challenging projects.

You can also expect to:

  • Assist in the development and management of client relationships and the delivery of advice and projects to our clients, working as part of a global network

  • Assist clients with employment taxes compliance and dealing with the ATO and State Revenue office’s on their behalf

  • Provide advice surrounding expense and benefit planning and cost reduction opportunities

  • Preparation of advice to clients on various employment tax matters such as Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Taxes, PAYG Withholding, Superannuation Guarantee, WorkCover and Salary Packaging and considering the tax implications of proposed remuneration structures

  • Coach and mentor our junior staff

About You

With expertise in employment taxes you will have demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders. Having come from a Big 4, mid-tier or the ATO/SRO environment you’ll be CA / CTA qualified and be looking to further grow your career to the next level.

Being analytical and having strong communication skills, you’ll play an active role in shaping and driving our brand with clients and colleagues. You will have:

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients

  • Ability to take ownership, make decisions and use initiative to resolve problems

  • Expertise in Australian Employment Tax, or, expatriate taxes, FBT, tax advisory and be looking to move into this specialist field
