We are currently seeking a Senior Software Sales Consultant for our Pacific Region reporting into the Regional Director of Sales, ITB Software – Asia Pacific & Japan. Based in either Melbourne or Sydney the key aims of the Senior Software Sales Consultant will be to assist the Pacific data center software business development functions in a pre-sales consulting, solution selling and solution development. In addition, providing support the Schneider Electric direct and channel sales team is also a primary function.
Working closely with the Global software & digital services product management team and peers, the scope of the role is broad and encompasses all aspects of pre-sales activities relating to data centre software solution development.
Specifically the scope includes; customer presentations and product demonstrations, preparation of proposals & RFP and response documentation, supporting proof of concepts activities, software solution design including customized solutions for specific customer requirements as well as a degree of sales training delivery.
Instrumental to success in this role will be an extensive track record of technical hands-on experience as well as a consultative sales & pre-sales approach. Having been trained and proficient in the use of an industry recognized sales methodology, you will add value to the software sales process, ensuring a successful outcome for customers. As a thought leader in IT enterprise software or data centre management software concepts, technologies and practices you will be fully versed in industry standards and best practices. This role is the subject-matter-expert and architecture leader for data center software solutions within the Pacific region. .
Your skills repertoire will also include the ability to develop, motivate and train sales teams and to prepare and present within large public forums. You will also be willing and able to commit to frequent domestic travel as well as international travel to a lesser extent.
