Customer Project Engineer

Ranked as one of the Top 10 places to work by Randstad Australia, Schneider Electric offers not only a great career but an organisation that offers flexibility in the way you work so as you can balance your work and personal life.

Our Buildings business creates integrated, multi layered solutions that specialise in combining building services & intelligent automated systems including; HVAC, BMS, CCTV, Access Control and Energy Management. Our solutions enable owners, end users and custodians to intelligently monitor, meter and control their assets by making real time decisions to reduce consumption and improving reliability and quality.

Based in Notting Hill, as a Customer Project Engineer, working on large exciting infrastructure projects such as airports, hotels and hospitals your role is to lead all technical aspects of the building automation solution (architecture, systems etc) during execution phases of the project (design, integration, testing, FAT, Installation and Commissioning).  You will assist the Project Manager in providing alternative solutions during design and will contribute to meeting the project objectives in scope, schedule and cost.

As a highly valued member of the project team, your role is to deliver a detailed design, program and integrate the solution through to completion onsite, as well as provide value engineered solutions for consideration to the Project Manager.

Whilst we do not want to overly narrow the field, we do believe that instrumental to success in this role will be proven experience in BMS/BAS/BMCS controls and/or security systems and IP solutions. A fundamental knowledge of HVAC systems and associated plant would be highly advantageous as would demonstrated capability in the integration of building systems protocols and IP Infrastructure.

You will possess a tertiary or trade qualification in a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic) with a curiosity for new technology and demonstrate a natural ability to quickly grasp, apply and disseminate new concepts enthusiastically and practically.

That’s the technical stuff, but equally critical is your energy, curiosity, customer focus and ability to collaborate extensively, remaining a selfless and committed team player.

At Schneider Electric, we are open, we value differences, we listen, we learn, connect, and collaborate with others. We are proud to promote diversity, inclusion and work-life integration – we’re a great place to work but we are continually striving to be the best place to work, join us and see how!
