Certification Engineer - Pacific Zone

What is the role?


Based in Sydney or Adelaide, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Certification Engineer to join the Test and Certification Team. Reporting to the Test and Certification Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Schneider Electrics products sold throughout the Pacific zone meet all regulatory requirements and are of the highest quality. You will ensure all new and existing products are certified to the required standards, through effective planning and testing of products while negotiating with regulatory authorities.


Your key responsibilities will include:
 

  • Certification plan & test plan strategy definition for new and existing projects.

  • Manage the organisation & execution of external testing.

  • Co-ordinate external certification bodies.

  • Participation in results analysis.

  • Maintain the validity of existing certification.

  • Respond to internal compliance requests.

  • Assist in EMC and electromechanical laboratory operations.

  • Advise the Test & Certification Manager on matters of regulatory compliance.

Additionally, you will possess the following essential skills and experience
 

  • EMC test and certification experience.

  • Electrical safety certification experience.

  • Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand regulatory compliance arrangements.

  • Project experience.

  • Understanding of the role that technical teams play within business units.

  • Bachelor of Electrical or Electronics Engineering

  • Technical Masters Degree will be highly regarded.

  • Standardisation and Design experience will be highly regarded.
