Business Development Manager Services - Drives

Our Field Service business provides 24/7 servicing for; mining, hospitals, utilities, data centres and just about everything in-between. Portfolio covers all of our verticals including drives, automation, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, UPS’s, computer room air-conditioning and chillers. We enable owners, end users and custodians to minimise breakdowns, increase reliability, efficiency and safety while reducing costs and simplifying operations. 

Ideally this role will be based in Perth however there may be some flexibility to secure the best candidate for this national opportunity. This role is responsible for maximizing sales, profitability and customer satisfaction for Field Services opportunities, with respect to services contracts for new sales and existing installed variable speed drives. Key service offers will include testing and commissioning, service contracts, spare parts packages, large on-demand mobilizations, asset-modernization and consulting services such as audits and assessments.  This role will collaborate closely with our industrial automation sales team leveraging current accounts as well as new opportunities.

Specific activities will include but be not limited to:

  • Development of a strategic business plan to maximise opportunities for growth in the VSD service market to build a sustainable project pipeline

  • Collaborate with other Schneider entities to maximise cross selling opportunities

  • Develop relationships and promote a solution approach for Schneider products, solutions and services for designated channels

  • Assist in the management and pre-sales activities for field services projects

Success in this role will require the following attributes

  • Electrical trade or tertiary qualification, complemented ideally with business certification

  • Successful proven track record of consultative solutions sales/business development ideally with VSD /industrial automation solutions

  • Proven turnkey/projects sales and account management experience as well as tendering

  • Specific industry knowledge of variable speed drive systems essential
