Business Development Manager

Our Field Service business provides 24/7 servicing for; mining, hospitals, utilities, data centres and just about everything in-between. Portfolio covers all main products from our Power Systems and Secure Power verticals including LV/MV switchgear, transformers, UPS’s, computer room air-conditioning, chillers and VSD’s. We enable owners, end users and custodians to minimise breakdowns, increase reliability, efficiency and safety while reducing costs and simplifying operations. 

Ideally based in Sydney but consideration will be given for the right candidate in Sydney. This role is responsible for maximizing sales, profitability and customer satisfaction for Field Services opportunities nationally, with respect to lifecycle services contracts for new and existing install base assets. 

Key service offers will include testing and commissioning, service contracts, spare parts packages, large on-demand mobilizations, asset-modernization and consulting services such as audits and assessments.  This role has a significant emphasis of strategic activity with circa 80% of sales coming from current customers.

Specific activities will include but be not limited to:

  • Development of strategic business plans and customer relationships across assigned sites and segments

  • Develop and promote strong holistic solutions approach for key end user contacts, consultants, and contractors 

  • Collaboration with internal stallholders to optimize and leverage reach & return within assigned sites and segments

Success in this role will require the following attributes;

  • Electrical trade or tertiary qualifications complemented by business studies and a technical background

  • Success in a high energy, tactical hunting business development & sales capacity

  • Experience in developing and delivering against plans and sales strategies for growth 

  • Solid knowledge and experience in a field services environment and customer base

  • Client focused, strong listening skills and confidence delivering pitches representing national sales agreements

  • Experience managing turnkey projects or sales processes including tendering with average value order of >$100K

  • High level of communication, presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate and influence
