PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

When processing personal data as part of its business operations, SAP France must comply with the requirements of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection and privacy laws. SAP France therefore is hiring a Data Protection Coordinator (DPPC) that shall support the management of SAP France in meeting its compliance requirements, as a local representative of and in close cooperation with SAP’s Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) and his team.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The DPPC is the main driver for data protection compliance on a local level. The DPPC’s main tasks are to:

  • assist the local CFO in meeting his responsibility for GDPR topics, local data protection topics and dedicated processes of the legal entity,
  • work towards compliance on behalf of the CFO to which they have been appointed, and;
  • align with SAP’s Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) and his team and follow their instructions, to the extent that the DPPC supports and locally represents the DPO.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • University degree in law, business administration or information technology.
  • Good knowledge of or strong desire to learn data protection laws and best practices
  • Good knowledge of processes and process management
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Assertive and convincing personality, high level of commitment and flexibility.
  • Good team-working skills.
  • Ability to work in an international environment.

Preferred skills

  • Proficiency in other languages

WORK EXPERIENCE

Not required but preferred: good knowledge of Australian market (2 years working experience or more)
