Salesforce Consultant - Deloitte Digital


A Salesforce Consultant enables clients to solve real business problems by helping them envision their future, formulate strategy and implement Salesforce technology solutions to deliver real business benefit. From strategy through to implementation, we help our clients solve complex business issues by combining process and industry knowledge with deep expertise in enabling technologies and cloud-based software platforms. Working on innovative, challenging and complex projects, this role specialises in the design and implementation of the Salesforce platform, advising on recommendations and seeing that vision through to reality. This role requires a passion for technology and solving business challenges.

Functions/Tasks

  • Responsible for delivering customer-focused cloud based technologies
  • Functional and technical requirements gathering, analysis and solution design based on the Salesforce platform
  • System architecture, scope definition and implementation on the Salesforce platform
  • Consulting the client on the best use of the Salesforce platform, with tasks like architecture definition, design and data modelling
  • Design and implementation of the Salesforce software solution, including integration with external systems (e.g. Okta, Mulesoft, Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Translate functional requirements into conceptual and detailed design documentation
  • Design and implement the IT development and release processes
  • Implement Salesforce configuration and custom development tasks along with unit testing
  • Sprint planning and management to ensure sustainable, scalable, best practice solutions
  • Design and manage the execution of test plans and ensuring a quality solution is delivered
  • Generate technical documentation for digital transformation programs and end user training materials
  • Interact with the other scrum masters (front-end, API, test team) to deliver a product that maximizes the value for the client
  • Participate in prospective client proposals, effort estimations and Agile practices
  • Develop strong client relationships by building trust, rapport and positive working relationships with key sponsors, stakeholders, and team members
  • Support internal practice growth and participate in the Australian technical community
  • Tools: Visual Studio IDE, Salesforce Developer Console, Salesforce UI Configuration, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Atlassian Suit components like JIRA, Confluence, Lucid Charts etc.

Qualifications, Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven client-facing Consulting experience in Public Sector and Financial Services industries
  • Ability to create Agile software development methodologies and contemporary development practices to nurture client relationships and support the delivery of innovative solutions
  • Experience in project management, business analysis and technology implementation in full lifecycle Salesforce engagements
  • Experience in Salesforce Platform configurations and development including testing of software solution
  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with other software solutions
  • Specific product-based experience and knowledge of Salesforce Platform and its offerings like Salesforce Service Cloud, Financial Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, etc.
  • Ability to present alternatives outcomes, propose solutions and ‘’think outside the box" to drive innovative, disruptive business transformation
  • Technical and Business Educational Qualifications: Bachelors in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with a Master’s in Business Project Management
  • Certified Scrum master with experience in delivering Agile projects, Certified ITIL practitioner with experience in IT service development processes, Certified Salesforce Administrator and Platform App Builder

The salary range on offer for this position is between $60,000 - $65,000 p.a excluding super.
