Business Development Manager – enterprise software sales (security)

ResponSight is a data science company focusing specifically on the challenge of detecting security breaches in enterprise/corporate networks using behavioural analytics.ResponSight operates at the endpoint PC/laptop and does not require or collect private or sensitive data as part of the “hacker” detection process.

ResponSight is trying to solve complex challenges in a highly volatile and dynamic online environment.Corporate networks are fragmenting, with employees and 3rd party suppliers/partners operating in diverse locations and on public networks.Breaches are detected (on average) 146 days after initial incursion, if detected at all.Using data science and an innovative approach, ResponSight aims to reduce that detection average and improve the accuracy and reliability for faster enterprise prioritisation and response.

Candidates are not required to have specific security industry experience, but should be passionate about enterprise technology and keen to help us try and solve some of the big challenges around protecting enterprises from attack.You’ll be responsible for managing our pipeline, following up on opportunities and leads (from the CEO), and working directly with our enterprise contacts.This role is suitable to remote workers with all interaction via phone or email, and would be ideal for people who have taken a break from large corporate enterprise sales and account management and would like a few days a week at convenient times that align with personal commitments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify new business development opportunities in corporate and government channels, through your own and our long-standing relationships
  • Create opportunities in our existing enterprise target list and manage existing opportunities and deals
  • Work closely with the CEO in establishing and maintaining new and existing relationships with current and new enterprise customers
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead qualification through to client sign up, including quote/order documentation and working with customer procurement processes

Prerequisite Skills

  • A solid history in successful business development and account management
  • Outstanding communication and sales process management skills
  • An ability to quickly build and maintain rapport
  • Excellent time management skills

Other Skills

  • We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, a self-starter, and have the ability to relate to clients and team members at all levels. Experience in the Security and/or enterprise software industry with a large vendor in a BDM or AM role would be highly regarded.
