Relationship Manager, Commercial Broker Team - Business Banking

Macquarie Business Banking is growing as part of a strategic plan to further develop our business and as a result, an exciting opportunity currently exists to join Macquarie Business Banking as a Relationship Manager within our established Commercial Broker team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with a team of Business Development Managers to review commercial deals in line with Macquarie's credit appetite and Broker risk framework
  • Managing broker accreditation and accurate documentation and payment of broker commissions
  • Managing relationships with active Commercial Brokers and other referrers
  • Managing both Property and Cash Flow lending requirements whilst also working with our Business Development Managers to drive new client acquisitions
  • Working collaboratively with a team of Credit Risk Analysts, Loan Documentation Officers and Settlement Associates.

To be successful in this position, you will possess previous experience working with Brokers and have a passion for delivering results.  You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous banking experience in either a front, middle or back office role
  • A sales driven, motivated and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication skills highlighted by your ability to build long standing relationships with clients
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise these effectively
  • A flexible and hands on approach with a team focus
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on risk and compliance
  • An understanding of credit within a business banking environment
  • Deposit and lending skills with a cash flow focus would be beneficial
