About the Role

In this role, you will play a leadership role, providing support for and co-ordination of RACQ’s initiatives and responses to financial services regulatory affairs. This role will challenge you professionally, providing the opportunity to help establish and build RACQ’s regulatory affairs team, providing expert advice and input into the strategy around regulatory reforms and requirements across our insurance and banking pillars.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong working experience in insurance or banking, but ideally some experience in both
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance/finance sector operations, and highly regulated environments
  • Proven experience providing oversight and leadership of a roadmap of regulatory change
  • Experience in either establishing and/or operating a financial services regulatory affairs function
  • Proven experience in negotiating and managing issues with key regulators APRA and ASIC
  • A strong understanding of the financial services regulatory framework in Australia
  • Understanding of contemporary and emerging issues and challenges for the financial services sector in Australia, and internationally
  • Engagement and communication with, and influencing of, boards and senior executives
  • Good experience in working with industry associations
  • Highly developed leadership experience and capability
