Capital Delivery Manager

As a result of internal growth, we are looking for a Manager Capital Delivery to lead and continuously improve the performance and delivery of our water and wastewater projects. Working collaboratively with crew leaders and the project management teams across our business, you will be responsible for the planning, prioritisation and management of our internally delivered civil capital work programs in a fast–paced environment and identify opportunities to increase efficiencies.
The Capital Delivery Team deliver multiple projects within our service territory at any one time, and pride themselves on being able to deliver a quality service in a quick turnaround time. This includes projects on critical infrastructure which are time sensitive and directly impact our customers. To maintain the level of service we provide to our customers, we are looking for someone who enjoys enabling and coaching those around them; is customer focused; and who loves the satisfaction that comes with building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with our shareholders.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating and delivering civil capital works programs or large civil infrastructure projects, preferably in the water and waste water industry or similar
- An ability to coach, lead, and empower a team in the areas of civil capital works delivery and contractor management
- Applied knowledge in the areas of developing and providing constructability advice, resource based estimates, scheduling, project management planning and financial reporting
- Knowledge and experience in procurement and management of contractors and consultants
- Creativity and initiative with respect to designing processes that facilitate cost control and efficiency
- Strong influencing, negotiating and communication skills to all levels of our business
- Engineering qualifications and experience with the design of water infrastructure desirable
Our Capital Delivery Team has built success on a philosophy of being able to operate as one team by being brilliant at the basics. They have established themselves as a team that are easy to deal with and customer focused. You would be someone who is able to inspire and encourage people to deliver purpose driven solutions by being approachable, a mentor, and able to personify our company’s values and strategic objectives.
This role is being offered on a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.
