As the 2IC to the Lead Cloud Services you’ll lead the technical speciality in Centre of Excellence and consult across the full technical life cycle from strategy implementation through to service assurance, by providing an end-to-end enterprise-wide IT service, to deliver high quality service experience and sought after technical thought leadership. You will define, lead, champion and promote the mid-long term strategy for technical area focussing on the importance and value of technology and its impact on Qantas’ and IT’s strategy

You’ll have –

  • Solid experience with Cloud and experience leading a successful team
  • Solution Architect background and the ability to draw up scenarios that can accommodate an enterprise scale environment
  • Have experience with AWS, CI/CD, and an understanding of atleast one development language
  • A strong understanding of enterprise security (PCI Compliance)
  • A proven background in developing and implementing cutting edge technical strategies
  • Industry knowledge and a focus on innovation coupled with an ability to apply it to internal solutions and standards
  • Lead the technical direction and solution for large functional projects, managing and influencing involved stakeholders, setting and maintaining financial metrics, and actively mitigating risks to deliver successful projects within timelines and budget
  • Experience with large scale technology transformation projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, across both technical and business content
  • Experience influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
