Join PwC's Operations Consulting business as a Senior Manager within our Business and Performance Consulting team and drive value to insurance clients and strategic accounts significant to our Sydney team.

In response to continued and sustained growth in demand for our services, we are looking for exceptional talent to join our Insurance Operations Consulting team in Sydney. With previous Management Consulting experience you will be looking to join a high performing and collaborative team of industry leaders.
As a Senior Manager within our team, your responsibilities will include operational diagnosis, defining operations strategy and operating models and working with our clients to help transform their organisations.
Reporting to the Lead Partner of this multi-million dollar business you will work in a team environment in a leadership role. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership of projects coordinating teams across strategy, design and implementation
  • Working with our account teams to deepen relationships and grow key accounts
  • Growing and developing the team

About you
You will be an Insurance Operational Excellence specialist with 7-10 years' experience within a consulting environment, delivering outcomes and leading teams across strategy and operational initiatives, including:

  • Operations strategy
  • Customer experience design
  • Target operating model design
  • Productivity improvement
  • Process design and optimisation
  • Transformation management

As a Senior Manager within the Operations Consulting team you will ideally have:

  • 7-10 years' consulting experience with a track record of consulting to the insurance industry (general, life, health and/or government)
  • Deep understanding of core insurance processes (distribution, underwriting, billing and/or claims)
  • Experience defining and executing strategic change
  • Experience leading large scale business transformation, including understanding of change management principles
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to solve complex problems and assess the effectiveness of business processes
  • A track record in building effective relationships both internally and externally to contribute to the growth of the business
  • Cost modelling and cost estimation, including the development of robust business cases
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the insurance industry and market trends
  • Sophisticated client relationship skills with the ability to talk confidently about issues and factors relating to the industry as a whole and specific projects
  • Commercial and strategic mindset for influencing and advising clients
  • Proven coaching skills and a passion to drive career development for team members
