Resourcing Consultant - 12 Month Contract

About the Role
As a Resource Management Senior Consultant for Assurance, you will support your People and Operations Leader and play an important role in executing the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence. You will work within the Assurance team and with the RM function to support the firm’s strategy around agility and mobility of our people reporting into the Resource Manager and the Resource Management Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce, review and analyse reporting within Assurance to highlight trends and share insights with the Resource Manager and Operations Leader to help support business decisions
  • Support the budgeting process across Assurance by working commercially with the teams to align budgeted hours to the forecast bookings
  • Ensure accuracy of systems and information and recommend process improvements
  • Challenge and help advise on different ideas to improve the diversity and inclusion of teams
  • Proactively support the Resource Manager and Operational Leadership team to advise, guide and escalate any issues within operational resourcing based on analysis, internal trends and day to day resourcing issues to ensure effective and strategic decision making
  • Co-ordinate and allocate resources strategically to ensure new work and proposals have the best success and team development
  • Help execute the transformation strategy with respect to the workforce mix of staff, contractors, graduates and outsourcing

About You
You will be a flexible and adaptable person who can learn quickly in a fast paced environment. Most importantly, you will have the ability to interact effectively with empathy, impact and discretion; to negotiate with and influence stakeholders at all levels right up to senior Partnership; and establish and build effective relationships across Assurance, People & Culture and the Finance & Operations teams.  These skills will set you up for success in this role as a trusted adviser to Assurance and across the firm.
Key Requirements:

  • Have workforce planning, resourcing, recruitment or project management experience, within a corporate/professional services environment
  • Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator  
  • Strong numeric ability and comfortable manipulating and analysing numerical data with a high degree of accuracy and good attention to detail
  • Ability to plan and prioritise, multi task and manage a significant workload under pressure
  • Capacity to resolve conflict effectively and escalate when required, with a solution-focused working style
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent administration skills
  • Good systems knowledge - Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), manpower planning systems
