PwC is looking for a Manager to be a key part of our Project Transformation team, working alongside Senior Managers and leading engagement teams

Our team specialises in conducting portfolio, program and project assurance activities across a range of clients and industries.

As part of this role you will be engaged on some of Queensland’s highest profile and highest risk projects and programs. The work we do, provides comfort to Project Directors and Sponsors that their projects are managing key risks and are set up for success.

Success does stem from a positive attitude, hard work and going the extra mile, but that's not all!

You will:

  • Identify key risks to the success of projects/programs and recommend solutions to our clients
  • Review and analyse critical project/program artefacts against better practice methodologies
  • Interview project team members and stakeholders, and appropriately probe in areas of risk
  • Document and report our key findings, in a way that gets to the key issues, using written communication and data visualisation skills
  • Confidently present your findings to project/program teams and their sponsors
  • Act as a mentor and leader to staff and help them with their career growth
  • Have genuine ability to engage and influence client conversations
  • Have a positive "can do" attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities

About you

You will have the confidence to operate in a fast paced and demanding environment without compromising quality. They will apply a client centric approach, create and operate in a highly collaborative team and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills. You will need to be able to think on your feet, and quickly be able to ascertain where the key risks lie.

Your colleagues can vouch that you:

  • Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
  • Strong practical knowledge of project management methodologies, systems and tools
  • Ability to investigate the detail of a project/program and be able to determine if the project/program is likely to succeed
  • 7 years of proven project delivery or project assurance experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
  • Previous experience in analysis of strategic issues and the development of practical strategies and options for their resolution
  • An ability to demonstrate an understanding of commercial issues facing business and apply that understanding to your work
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skill
