We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Manager to join our Accounting Advisory team in our Perth One Assurance practice.
 
Accounting Advisory are a small but growing team passionate about providing innovative accounting solutions to clients. There is a significant growth opportunity in this area in the Perth market and this role is a key leadership position, supporting the achievement of our strategy.
 
Accounting Advisory provide specialised accounting and structuring advice to our clients, crafting structures and discussing accounting options for proposed transactions. We frequently work closely with tax and deals teams, helping the client to get the best possible outcome from a transaction. Our goal is to make complex accounting simple for our clients and bring a practical mindset to the application of accounting standards for real life transactions.
 
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering quality accounting advice, making complex accounting simple and practical for clients
  • Helping clients to implement new accounting standards and develop appropriate processes to support effective financial reporting
  • Delivering internal and external presentations to clients in relation to accounting impacts of proposed transaction / structure
  • Helping to grow the practice through building relationships, proactive targeting of opportunities and developing proposals
  • Running, supervising and training junior staff

About you

We are looking for a Manager with validated experience in accounting advisory assignments. Experience in the Oil & Gas, resources and utilities sectors are valued but are not essential.
 
You will have strong communications skills, a business development mind-set and an interest in trying new things and a willingness to learn. You'll be a phenomenal relationship builder and capable of effectively leading your clients.
 
You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Develop effective relationships with internal and external clients;
  • Qualified CA / CPA or international equivalent, with background in IFRS with 5-10 years post qualification experience;
  • Have exposure to or training in overseas accounting regimes such as US GAAP
  • A passion for helping clients with technical accounting matters. Deep technical knowledge expertise not necessary
