As a Contract and Commercial Manager, you will support a number of key client engagements, acting as a key advisor at the intersection between contractual and commercial requirements and consulting delivery, ensuring that all contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly.  This will include responsibility for tracking and monitoring contract changes, deliverables, commercial risks, documentation management, and general commercial advisory services.

For this opportunity we are looking for an individual with comprehensive experience and knowledge of contract management, particularly in complex IT / technology consulting contracts (drafting, negotiating, delivery and compliance), general business practices and commercial contracting regulations. You will work in conjunction with Project Finance Managers and key Engagement Leads, including Partners as appropriate, to provide support to assigned engagements.

You will:

  • Work closely with the Commercial Director, Finance Director and other members of the Commercial team and broader engagement teams to support contract formation and contract execution support for assigned key Consulting engagements;
  • Provide support and counsel to Partners and key engagement leads involved in the sale of complex consulting engagements by driving commercially sound decision-making;
  • Be responsible for implementation of contract and commercial processes for assigned engagements;
  • Be responsible for the management and delivery of assigned high volume, complex and high-risk contracts and support to the business, including the tracking and monitoring of associated contract changes, deliverables, risks, and document management;
  • Support the objective to drive and improve commercial understanding of junior team members and key engagement staff within the business/client unit; 
  • Develop and integrate contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the engagement

 
About you
The brief is simple...
You have a solid background in the contract management field with comprehensive knowledge of commercial contracting principles, subcontracting practices and general business practices, as well as a project management understanding of finance principles and project delivery lifecycles. Experience in contract management within a consulting environment is an advantage. You’re passionate about detail and using this to make or advise on commercially-sound business decisions.
