PwC's Insurance team is growing! As such, we are now looking for an energetic and experienced Audit Manager with a background in Insurance.
Our Assurance practice provides assurance on the financial performance and operations of our clients’ businesses - and is the world's leading practice of its kind. Our audit clients include almost half of the FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 plus many of the top ASX listed companies.

About the Role
You will have responsibility for a full range of assurance tasks including the planning, testing, reviewing and reporting stages on large and complex jobs. You'll also research and provide advice to clients on issues faced, as a subject matter expert and trusted advisory in this space.
This role will see you:

  • Coordinating and reviewing the audit processes for large and complex top tier financial services clients in the Insurance sector
  • Working across a variety of projects and assisting our Partners with value add offerings
  • Coaching and developing junior staff members
  • Managing audits from budgeting through to final reporting
  • The preparation of the audit file for Director and Partner review.
  • Assisting in the presentation of the Audit findings to the Audit Committee or Board of Directors
  • Developing valuable client and colleague relationships
  • Working to deadlines and managing the expectations of clients

About you
As an Audit Manager you will have exposure to all aspects of audit and statutory reporting in addition to:

  • 5 - 7 years’ Insurance experience at a Big 4 or International Second Tier firm
  • Excellent working knowledge of IFRS, and ideally US and UK GAAP
  • Effective day to day management of clients; building and maintaining strong relationships is crucial
  • An ability to demonstrate an understanding of commercial issues facing businesses in this industry
  • Team player who has the ability to report upwards to Director and Partner
  • A completed CA / CPA qualification or equivalent
  • A positive “can do” attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities
