To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Consumer Insights Planner.

This role is key in driving a best-practice, proactive and impactful market insights program in the snacks area. These insights will help shape the decisions our business makes around key brand growth and innovation initiatives to drive accelerated growth in profit and market share.

The position is required to communicate complex analysis in simplified ‘story telling’ manner so we are looking for someone who has strong experience (minimum 7 years) and deep understanding across the full breadth of best practice brand building consumer and market insight techniques; able to clearly distill a lot of complex data and information into actionable insights for the marketing/business and effectively work with people from all areas and levels of the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive a clear understanding of motivations and consumer trends and their impact on brand positioning
  • Lead an impactful market insights program to influence senior management through recommendations
  • Synthesise data across multiple sources to develop insights and drive strategy and business growth
  • Set the research agenda, designing and approving research to answer business issues
  • Act as an integral partner to marketing teams by providing market understanding that helps shape and impact
  • Ensure advertising is tested to meet benchmarks and recommend modification to maximise success in market
  • Develop effective and integrated working relationship with all agencies involved

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing or business
  • 7-10yrs Insights/Research/Marketing/Analytical experience (FMCG or related industry)
  • Strong analytical skills; able to clearly distil a lot of complex data
  • Experience in managing, coaching and developing agencies/people (desirable)
  • Good interpersonal skills & ability to participate in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
