Retailer Data Executive

Operations - Australia Macquarie Park, New South Wales

Our global Operations function plays a pivotal role to help our clients improve their business performance. The Operations teams work to translate client needs into technical specifications and process data efficiently and effectively.

We are currently seeking a Retailer Executive to join our Sydney Retailer Operations team based in Macquarie Park. This role is focused on ensuring the timely and accurate receipt and validation of Australian & New Zealand retailer sales data.

This is an entry level, 12 month maternity leave coverage role, starting July 2018.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Strong technology skills – advanced excel.
  • SQL, SAS, or other programming language knowledge beneficial, but not essential
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Effective problem solving
  • An eye for detail
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The core aspects of the role and their responsibilities are outlined below:

Coordinate Day to Day Receipt of Retailer Files:

  • Manage, escalate and resolve data issues by coordinating with internal teams, and external retailer contacts
  • Communicate data issues with key stakeholders
  • Track and report quality metrics

Data investigations:

  • Understand Nielsen’s data file requirements
  • Perform initial analysis of data files to identify potential issues
  • Develop relationships with external retailers to ensure proactive correction of quality issues
