Job Summary:

  • Proactively hunt new business opportunities outside existing clients, and increase the number of projects/clients to the business
  • Conducts end-to-end sales process in the most effective way: assesses the need, qualifies the lead, conducts or briefs on availability check, writes convincing proposals, follows up, negotiates and closes the deal.
  • To execute lead generation and new business activities and convert them into business
  • Achieves and Exceeds financial targets 
  • This role will be incentivise for reaching sales target 

About your role: 

As a Business Development Manager , you will be exposed to a fast paced rewarding sales environment 

  • Earning client trust by building and maintaining strong networks
  • Understanding client needs by ensuring their plans and projects are developed, and that they clearly articulate  Nielsen’s value proposition 
  • Engaging the client to address business priorities
  • Demonstrating thought leadership by understanding the client’s business and discussing issues from multiple angles
  • Negotiating sales through the enterprise selling process, which includes showing a forward thinking and strategic approach to negotiation and leading the planning process for this strategy.
  • Achieves and Exceeds team objectives and revenue targets
  • To proactively create and identify new growth opportunities
  • Using Salesforce to track leads and opportunities
  • Understanding fully how all of the solutions in the Nielsen portfolio fit together as well as collaborating and connecting with the wider teams responsible for these solutions
     

Skills and Experience:

As a practiced consultative salesperson, you will possess the following skills:

  • An understanding of Nielsen products and services (preferred)
  • Passion and energy for the FMCG industry
  • Awareness and understanding of market conditions and the client’s business environment
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Financial understanding (P&L, EBITDA) and how this relates to business success
  • Excellent business English both written and verbal
  • An ability to analytically problem solve and create solutions
  • Strong organisational, time management and multitasking skills 
  • Strong negotiation and selling skills
  • Collaboration skills with client and teams in a challenging and fast paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a digital environment
