Your Opportunity

Based at our Rhodes HO we have an exciting opportunity for a part time Assistant Buyer Planner in the Contract Manufacturing Team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, and responsible for:

  • Ensuring Supply – Overseeing logistics and manage the supply plans, inventory handling and procure to pay processes for outsourced products.
  • Support NPD projects – determine requirements, identify suppliers from preferred list, source commercial terms and manage project transition including SKU setup workflows in SAP.
  • Support Category management – Supplier relationship and contract management.
  • Material Handling – Provide SAP support for stock movements, good receipt, SSCC labels, and batch consolidation and stocktake reconciliation.
  • Provide SAP support for analysis and reporting.
  • Provide back up to the Logistics team during holidays and busy periods.
  • Help with any improvement projects to reduce costs and efficiencies.

About You

What we look for in you is an understanding of logistics and material handling experience, experience with multiple vendors and suppliers and exposure to accounts payable and purchasing functions. Working closely with all levels of management, staff, stakeholders, production teams and suppliers, if you are a confident and a natural communicator who is able to multi task and prioritise. With your keen eye for detail and process improvement mindset, you will be able to spot growth opportunities and risks. Strong Excel skills are essential while experience with SAP would be desirable.  Applicants with a Logistical background in a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
