The Manufacturing Excellence Manager supports Factories and Functions to achieve World-Class Manufacturing Excellence by leveraging Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) practices to improve business results in a continuous and sustainable manner and ultimately help Nestlé become a Lean Enterprise.

The Manufacturing Excellence Manager consistently drives the implementation of NCE across the Factories & Market ensuring the alignment with business needs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

Reporting to the Market Manufacturing Excellence Manager, key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Helps Technical & Production (T&P) Functions and Factories to improve business profitability and optimize cash flow to support business growth by applying NCE Methodologies.
  • Helps to translate the Market Business priorities and function priorities into the Factory objectives.
  • Supports the cascading of priorities and measures from the Market T&P OMP to the Factories.
  • Defines and embeds NCE projects and initiatives into Factories OMP to deliver T&P objectives and align functions towards the plan.
  • Establishes governance routines to ensure that NCE implementation contributes to deliver TDC Optimization and business results.
  • Supports NCE in Manufacturing competency-building plan that ensures NCE is developing autonomy at all levels of the T&P organization.
  • Stewards, trains, supports and coaches Factory Leadership Teams in the NCE in Manufacturing competencies (e.g.GA, FI, LVS, AM) and applicable manufacturing standards.
  • Develops competency of Market T&P team, supporting them to apply methodologies to improve and sustain results (e.g. all NCE methodologies, Value Added Activities, Workload studies, etc.)
  • Promotes and supports cross-fertilization of NCE best practices, knowledge, standards and improvements across Factories in the Market; within other Markets and categories.
  • Provides hands-on support to factories to accelerate improvement of results (coach by doing with factories).
  • Drives pragmatic application of methodologies and tools focussing on delivering results by applying NCE simplification principles.

Duties

ARE YOU A FIT?

  • Ideal candidate (but not limited to) will have 5+ years of factory experience in a relevant department (i.e. Manufacturing Excellence, Production or Maintenance) and preferably has held a leadership role within one of those areas.
  • Should have successfully led and developed cross-functional teams and programs.
  • Strong practical experience with continuous improvement and preferably experienced in several pillars.
  • They should possess an adequate level of software skills necessary to analyse, coordinate and surmise information/data into usable formats to drive improvement.
  • Should display high persuasion skills and natural leadership skills to convince people and implement a mind-set change where necessary.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
