The Reporting and Forecasting Analyst – Business Segment is responsible for leading the annual planning process for the Business segment and the monthly cycle of business performance reviews. The Analyst will work closely with finance, product and the business segment analyst network to deliver on the accountabilities of the role.
A bit about your role
You will be leading the Business Segment commercial planning to provide fully Integrated Operating and Financial Plan and support the integrity of data used for Reporting & Forecasting and collaborate with data team for issue resolution. You will also review Business Segment Performance monthly to determine drivers of variance to plan as well as drive insights and partner with BSM stakeholders to determine remedial actions.
You take the accountabilities in forecasting and providing input into C&C forecast cycle to ensure financial and operational metrics have appropriate targets set and the owners of metrics understand the targets.
You also lead the Risk and Assurance for Business Segment by producing regular reporting and dashboards to demonstrate the performance against targets and remediation plans where required; and your analysis work is also to support business decision making.
As part of your role, you will also be involved in reviewing the program to determine if there are aspects that require change, responding to adhoc analysis request and supporting BSM stakeholders with strategic insights.
A bit about you
You possess strong analytical skills and knowledge of management accounting, financial accounting processes and systems with excellent critical thinking ability to analyse current issues and constraints and identify opportunities to overcome them. Strong commercial acumen and reporting skills plus knowledge of and experienced in publishing reports and creating dashboards are critical to be successful in this role.
Ideally, you are familiar with forecasting methods and processes and have demonstrated experience in designing and documenting business processes to both internal and external stakeholders.
