Please note this role will be avaliable in both Sydney and Melbourne.

The Industry Engagement Consultant - Public Sector is accountable to deliver against financial targets within the Business Segment; focusing specifically on Public Sector customers, in particular government entities at all levels and sizes.

You will have responsibility for the design, development and implementation of sales and account plans, including working with end users on specific tenders as well as identifying and assessesing strategic options and opportunities for accelerating nbn’s revenue growth in the Public Sector.

A bit about your role

Outlined below are the core duties that the Industry Engagement Consultant - Public Sector will be responsible for delivering:

  • Exceed Enterprise and Government Segment financial targets including Product orders and ARPU (Average Revenue Per User)
  • Raise end-user awareness specifically in the Enterprise and Government Segment and drive migration to the nbn.
  • Contribute to building an effective and competitive RSP channel to market for the Enterprise and Government Segment.
  • Develop an engaged and educated Enterprise & Government segment and ICT industry.
  • Establish forums to pro-actively communicate the Voice of the Customer to internal nbn stakeholders and identify improvements or gaps in current nbn Products.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role you will hold a significant background in the IT or Telecommunications industry working for an enterprise level organisation in an account management or business development role. You will have delivered commercial solutions for large public sector and government customers in a heavily regulated environment with extensive ‘C’ level executive interaction.

You will need a track record in the identification of new service opportunities, their value propositions and subsequent conversion. This will include a history of working collaboratively with end-users and service teams to convert strategic priorities into actionable plans that generate value to the client with sustainable results.

We are looking for a fluid communicator with highly developed influencing and negotiating skills and strong business acumen and understanding of the commercial market. You will be keen to promote continuous learning, to share experiences, and build intellectual capital.
