Executive Manager Industry Specialist

As Executive Manager, Industry Specialist, you will be accountable for working with Procurement, Industry Delivery Partners, and Network Planning & Deployment (NPD) to manage the supply-and-demand profiles of resource capabilities across nbn’s Delivery Partners (DP).

In this role, you will aim to understand the key drivers impacting resource churn and identify new pricing models with Procurement to reduce risk. In addition, you will benchmark nbn’s resource capabilities across other industries and assess pricing and commercial opportunities to attract and retain resources.

Please note that this will be a 24-month max term contract.

A bit about your role

  • Developing a strategy to collate, understand, and prioritise NPD’s industry requirements
  • Recommending opportunities to Procurement and NPD to attract un-tapped industry resources
  • Identifying industry risks at a portfolio level and taking steps to mitigate them
  • Engaging with Delivery Partners to assess subcontractor resource plans
  • Understanding and communicating the DP industry issues that affect the nbn program of work
  • Act as single point of contact with Procurement re DP engagement models and strategy development

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you would have developed a deep understanding of the Australian telecommunications market over an extensive career in the industry. You should have knowledge of the network, architecture, design, and existing solutions for delivering broadband and voice-band services.

You would demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen and strategic thinking, potentially developed within corporate strategic consulting or transactional advisory environments. Utilising your industry knowledge, you would be adept at working with Delivery Partners to identify business opportunities.

A proven people leader, you would have advanced stakeholder-engagement skills and the ability to develop cross-functional teams in a matrix environment to deliver a variety of complex projects and programmes on time and on budget.
