Are you an experienced Data Manager who is passionate about data quality and governance?

nbn is currently sourcing for a Data Manager to implement the nbn data governance model and oversee specific capabilities such as data quality, business process, Business Intelligence, and reporting.

Reporting to the Workforce Capacity Manager, you will gain a clear understanding of business operations, the organisation, and general procedures in this role. Furthermore, you will utilise your understanding of overall data usage and be responsible for data change management and impact analysis.

Please note that this is a 24-month max term contract.

A bit about your role

  • Ensuring compliance with nbn’s data management policies and standards under the direction of the Data Sponsor
  • Proactively promoting adherence to nbn data related policies
  • Coordinate efforts with other domain Data Sponsors and Data Managers to employ consistent enterprise data management policies, procedures, governance, tools, and methodologies
  • Maintaining business definitions of key data elements and proposes new attribute requirements
  • Implementing data quality and metadata for specific Data Assets
  • Authorising access to information, per information security policies

A bit about you

You would bring prior experience in either data science or data governance, potentially within the telco industry. You would be comfortable working with complex datasets, and be able to collate business requirements into effective business cases.

This role would benefit from your knowledge of data governance principles and frameworks.

Your prior experience in Risk Management would have given you a Compliance focus, and you would bring a demonstrable ability to engage with and influence stakeholders, based both locally and remotely.
