The Opportunity

As a National Sales Manager within Medibank, you will have the overall responsibility of leading the Account Management function, including strategic and operational  leadership for Medibank Health Solutions.

You will lead the development and implementation of a growth business plan to win new business as well as retain and grow our current customer base. You will be accountable for the overall sales performance and the alignment of sales objectives with business strategies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the sales team to develop and implement the Medibank Health Solutions sales and growth plan
  • Sales accountabilities including conversion and retention of services for the delivery of high quality primary, secondary and tertiary health services
  • Ensuring effective governance and controls for the sales organisation performance and customer management including forecasting, pipeline management and account planning
  • Supporting the retention and growth of the business by participating in executive level sales forums at boardroom level and equivalent;
  • Foreseeing changes in the customer landscapes, recognising opportunities and threats and working with leaders across and in the business to develop solutions;
  • Empowering and leading a team of sales people and supporting staff.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in a senior sales leadership role, managing large dispersed teams. You will have a proven track record in delivering strategy, operations and sales accountabilities. Highly developed communication, influencing and negotiating skills are essential, as is proven success in the development and implementation of sales disciplines including business planning, account planning, sales forecasting and pipeline management.
