The Opportunity

Join our Operational Delivery & Excellent team within the Technology & Operations Division on a 12 month Fixed Term contract as a Document Control Manager.  The purpose of the role is to create and implement enterprise level Document Control Management processes & procedures for physical (non-electronic) records.

You will be accountable for analysing existing process, to develop and deliver a strategic program of work that simplifies and improves Medibank’s document control practices and driving strong and clear accountability for document management controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking analysis of existing procedures and processes of current document management practices across the enterprise;
  • Building a program of work to deliver effective management, change and controls for document handling, storage and destruction of records;
  • Ensuring  document control and records management compliance risks and controls are identified, developed, documented, actioned and monitored in line with the compliance obligations and legislative requirements;
  • Ensuring documents and records are identified, categorised and managed in line with Medibank’s policies and procedures; and
  • Reviewing existing processes and driving continuous improvement, cost efficiency and best practice principals in the management of document controls.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Records Management and Document control processes and frameworks in a large organisation, preferably within the Health Insurance Sector.

You are a self-starter with proven initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure what’s important gets done first. You can work autonomously and pride yourself on meeting deadlines. You have strong analytical skill, communication skills and inter-personal skills and are confident in engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Your understanding of the legislative requirements and compliance obligations and how to manage them effective as well as your knowledge of the challenges of record management & document control will set you up for success in this role.
