About the opportunity
 
The EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services team is the biggest sustainability consulting team in Oceania. Our multidisciplinary team comprises 130 experienced professionals across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland and advises a large proportion of the ASX 200 to help them drive performance beyond their bottom line.
 
We have an opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our growing team in Sydney. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting business, government and non-profit organisations identify, develop and deliver sustainability strategies, manage risks and enhance transparency.
 
We are looking for motivated sustainability professionals who are focused on broadening their experience, capitalising on the learning opportunities at EY and working with our clients to improve the sustainability of their businesses.

About you
 
An opportunity is available for professionals with 5-7 years’ experience in sustainability management, including:   

  • Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI and Integrated Reporting
  • Experience conducting materiality assessments
  • Experience with sustainability investor surveys, e.g. Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Preparing climate change and/or sustainability strategies and reporting performance against them
  • Experience with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System, the Safeguard Mechanism and the Emission Reduction Fund
  • Providing assurance over greenhouse data, sustainability reports and other non-financial information (applying assurance standards such as ISAE3000 and AA1000)
  • Outstanding project and time management skills.
  • Business development through business networks and responding to requests for proposal

Experience in the following areas is also preferable:

  • Professional services/consulting
  • Facilitating training/workshops
  • Industry and/or government

You will also ideally be university qualified.
