Maintenance Planner


The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the development of plans and schedules for all routine maintenance across both Maintenance and Operations Teams, supporting the overall achievement of AGL Macquarie’s operational and financial objectives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide planning and scheduling oversight on a range of complex and interdependent activities in line with objectives outlined in the power station business plan
  • investigate and review work requests to determine resources and scope of work for maintenance
  • plan work, including the preparation of detailed work break down design, estimating, scope of work specifications, considering job site specific requirements and work packaging for tasks
  • create and plan work orders to ensure work descriptions, work methods, labour requirements, materials and permit requirements are clear and accurate
  • maintain associated equipment and preventative maintenance databases
  • work with the team to optimize planning standards, tools and processes to ensure and alignment with AGL business and work management processes
  • proactively prioritize, plan and execute maintenance activities

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Electrical or Mechanical Trades experience and/or qualification
  • significant relevant experience in heavy industry
  • proven technical expertise in planning and scheduling
  • extensive knowledge and experience with SAP CMMS & scheduling tools
  • demonstrated communication and organisational skills to balance conflicting priorities
  • HSE focus, modelling safe and environmentally responsible working behaviors as well as operational excellence
  • sound team building skills (across contractors and internal team) & communications
  • a positive attitude toward innovation, progressive & adaptive thinking and be dynamic and adjustable
  • proven strong business acumen and cost management skills
