UI Developer

Our team operates like a fully funded agile start-up - we are empowered to innovate and push digital boundaries. This is a unique position at Macquarie as you will be working on a greenfield project to develop our business banking portal:


  • translating UI/UX designs wireframes to actual code that produce visual elements of the applications
  • ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX design
  • working with the UI/UX designer and bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation
  • building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • optimising application for maximum speed and scalability
  • participating in tool and technology selection processes and creating proof of concept models for new technologies and approaches.
  • formulate the technical design and evaluate effort estimates
  • develop web user interfaces using the latest Angular framework
  • write tested and documented TypeScript, HTML and CSS
  • coordinate with back-end developers in development of RESTful APIs
  • creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments


  • tertiary qualification in IT
  • 3+ years of experience of working experience as a Frontend developer
  • advanced skills in JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and responsive design
  • strong demonstrated experience with the newest Angular version (especially writing advanced components, promises and services) using Typescript
  • experience with open source tools, resources and testing automation frameworks like Selenium
  • experience in GIT, Bit Buckets and related workflows
  • experience with the webpack module builder
  • ability to implement a fully automated CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, from code checking to production deployment
  • ability to design and implement unit test cases, integration test cases and performance test cases at the API and UI level
