Technical Project Manager

The Technology Workplace team in Sydney is looking for an experienced and motivated technical project manager to join its Collaboration and Productivity team. Working closely with other technology teams and business stakeholders globally, you will manage a large-scale upgrade and deployment of a critical document management system.

The responsibilities of this role: 

  • · manage all aspects of a project to a high standard
  • · engage with business stakeholders. Ensure critical business requirements are clearly understood and met, and business expectation is well managed
  • · coordinate resources from multiple teams in different time zones and ensure work is completed according to the project schedule
  • · manage and maintain vendor relationships. Secure vendor support so that vendor related issues are promptly resolved, and risks are adequately managed
  • · develop and maintain project artefacts, reporting packs, and execute the agreed stakeholder communication plan. 
  • · design, develop and execute change plans with change manager. Ensure sufficient technical hand-over, user training and communication tailor to the regions and businesses
  • · promote Agile and DevOps practices

Required for success in this role:

  • · at least 5 years’ experience of managing large scale technical projects in organisations that embrace changes and innovation
  • · strong verbal and written communication skills
  • · ability to lead and drive outcomes, and problem solving skills 
  • · strong negotiation skills with business and technical stakeholders
  • · ability to work well under pressure.

On a technical level:

  • · project management qualifications are an advantage
  • · experience with agile methodology and DevOps preferred
  • · exposure to Windows server operating system and SQL server preferred
